A Central Australian Aborignal Elder accused of “mischief making” following her claim that Aborignial  people living on the Utopia homelands are starving….. is refusing to back down…. adding they are surviving on the “absolute minimal to keep a person alive”.Arrente Anmatyerre  Elder  Rosalie Kunoth Monks  turned national attention on the  Utopia homelands following her claim that aged support programs  are not delivering on the ground.President  of the Barkley Shire Council Barbara  Shaw told CAAMA  that while  the Shire is not responsible for  Centrelink carer allowances…  as far as she is concerned no one is missing out on any  meals under the shires  aged care support program .But Ngarla Kunoth Monks disagrees and  says she was approached by a group of grandmothers before Easter… who told her they “were starving” .
