Tough stance in tatters after backflip sees Aboriginal kids removed from jail

All Aboriginal children have been removed from Barwon prison after the state government backed down in the face of a Supreme Court challenge, a move which could see the collapse of its tough approach to rioting youth detainees.The Andrews government last week began moving children in youth custody at Parkville to the prison, following riots that caused about $2 million in damage.
